Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 18, 2026
This policy describes how the personal data of visitors to soulstoslaughter.com (the “Site”) is processed, pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”).

Tax Code: IT02222520666

For any privacy-related questions or to exercise your GDPR rights, please write to the email address above.
2.Types of Data Processed
2.1 Browsing data
The Site is a static website and does not directly collect visitors' personal data. However, the hosting provider GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P Kelly Jr St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) may automatically collect technical data in its server logs — such as IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited and access times — as required to deliver the service and for security purposes. For more information: GitHub General Privacy Statement.
2.2 Data provided voluntarily
The Site contains no contact forms, registered areas, newsletters or comments. If you choose to contact the Controller by email at the address above, the data you transmit (email address and message content) will be processed solely to respond to your request.
2.3 Analytics and profiling tools
The Site does not use analytics tools, traffic statistics, tracking pixels or user profiling systems.
3.Cookies and Local Storage
3.1 Technical storage and consent preferences
The Site does not set its own profiling cookies. The choice made in the cookie banner is stored in your browser's localStorage (key cookieConsent): this is technical data needed to remember your preference. It is never transmitted to any server and can be deleted at any time by clearing your browsing data. The banner can be reopened at any time via the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of every page.
3.2 Third-party cookies — YouTube
Some pages embed videos hosted on YouTube (Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland / Google LLC, USA). Videos are not loaded automatically: they are activated only after your explicit consent, via the cookie banner or the button shown on the video frame. Embeds use YouTube's “privacy-enhanced mode” (the youtube-nocookie.com domain), which limits cookie installation until playback actually begins.
When you start playback, YouTube may still set its own cookies and collect usage data under its own policy: Google Privacy Policy.
3.3 Fonts
The typefaces used by the Site are self-hosted: no requests are sent to Google Fonts or other external services to load fonts.
4.Links to Third-Party Websites
The Site contains links to external websites, including retail platforms (Amazon, Kobo, Books-A-Million, FNAC, Bol.com, BookBeat), IMDb, YouTube and the Italian-language site animedamacello.it. These are simple links: no data is transmitted to third parties unless you choose to click them. Once you reach external sites, their own privacy policies apply, over which the Controller has no control.
5.Legal Basis and Purposes of Processing
- Browsing data / technical logs: the legitimate interest of the Controller and the hosting provider in ensuring the operation and security of the Site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Third-party cookies (YouTube): your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which may be withdrawn at any time.
- Voluntary email communications: pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
6.Data Retention
The Site does not store personal data on its own systems. Hosting provider logs are retained according to GitHub's policies. Any emails received are kept for the time needed to handle the request and in any case no longer than 12 months, unless required by law.
7.Transfers of Data Outside the EU
The use of GitHub Pages and, subject to consent, YouTube may involve the transfer of data to the United States. Such transfers take place in compliance with Chapter V of the GDPR, on the basis of adequate safeguards (e.g. the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses).
8.Your Rights
Under Articles 15-22 of the GDPR, you have the right to:
- obtain confirmation of the existence of processing concerning you and access your data (Art. 15);
- obtain rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16);
- obtain erasure of your data (Art. 17);
- obtain restriction of processing (Art. 18);
- receive your data in a structured format (data portability, Art. 20);
- object to processing (Art. 21);
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing already carried out (Art. 7(3)).
To exercise your rights: lorenzo.delauretis@live.it.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority — for the Controller, the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it) — or with the authority of your country of residence.
9.Changes to This Policy
The Controller may update this policy at any time. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page. In the event of substantial changes, cookie consent may be requested again.
